The ‘materialistic’ essentials to our life are the things you can’t leave the house without or else you feel absolutely naked. For example, the panic when you realise you did not spray yourself with your favourite perfume or left your sunglasses in another bag and having to brave the glaring sun.
My life essentials are just a few things that I will never stop loving or want to live without. We all have things that bring us that extra joy, bounce in our step or confidence to get through each day. On a good day nails are on point, tan is fresh, hair has bounce and outfit is killer.
Fake tanners are the essence of my existence. I am a strong believer that everything looks better with a tan, so when Bondi Sands came into my life, it was a lover affair that would last a lifetime. I am a self-proclaimed professional tanner, and this is definitely my favourite product by far. Not only is it extremely affordable but provides the best coverage and colour. Although I have invested a large sum of $$$ into Bondi Sands, I am never really on point unless I have my bronze on.
The little black dress- also known as the holy grail. The LBD is a fashion veteran. My sources can confirm that the LBD dates back to the 1920s from Coco Chanel and Jean Patou. Not only is the LBD the most versatile and classic dress in history but a girl’s best friend with endless styles, cuts, shapes and fabrics. It is the ultimate fashion investment.
From the wise words of Victoria Beckham “ Wear sunglasses a lot. Even inside. They turn a nothing outfit into something quite pulled together and cool”. Reflective sunglasses are my go to. Not only are they good for secret people watching and naps in public but can put a bang to any outfit.
Wearing watches daily came with growing up. I used to think why would I need a watch, I have an iPhone ?!? But now I can not leave the house without wearing one. Watches are not only the essence of style, wealth and sophistication but with the flick of a wrist you know the time, and to the world, you look important like you have somewhere to be. Lately, I have been obsessed with marble face watches and the ability to swap their bands for different colours and textures.
At no time in my life will I not have a pair of point heels at my fingertips. My first proper pair were smooth nude Tony Bianco’s until I got the upgrade to Christian Louboutins. Not only do they look fabulous, sexy, classic and minimalistic they are the ultimate shoe for dates, job interviews, special occasions and wine times with the girls. Definitely the shoes I will be taking to my grave.
I would love to hear what little things/brands you guys can not live without in the comments below!! (Think about the little things.. the lip balm you use every day or the face wash you swear by).
