Exactly a week from today I was sitting with my friend Pia from P.S. Smile when she began a series of questions that began with what makes me happy.
At first, I thought what a strange question (In Pia’s words, “She gave the face”) but then within a second I answered what makes me happy is “LOVE.”
Now, I don’t know if this a coincidence or just chance that we are talking about love right around the day when the world celebrates love in such a spectacular way.
I don’t know but what I do know is that this post would not have seen the light of day without Pia’s encouragement.
So here is the breakdown of the question that Pia asked and my honest responses that she typed up very fast.
What is Happiness?
For me, happiness is love I just love love, the simple kind of love or even the way you love your sister. Love to love you, passion for someone else’s things, love is just love. I think people who don’t believe in love need to find a way accept it. What is your life without love? Everything you do is based on love. I run a blog because I love to share things and sharing tech and the concept of how it can grow. I think love is my passion in everything I do. Passion comes from love Everything I do comes from LOVE!
I fall in love every day with something new. Right now I am in love with interiors. Love is addictive and addictive regarding many things. I love coffee because when I was younger, the idea of coffee to me was this moment you can have with yourself to just be. I don’t know what that means. And then love is also an addiction to the things you want to create, right now for me it is maintaining a dope Instagram.
The idea of love makes me happy. I sometimes think even with hatred it comes from a place love because I believe you could only love a person enough to hate them. I don’t know what that means. I just think people love challenging hate with love and love with hate.
I think jealousy and envy is driven from no love. When you don’t love yourself, you only see good in someone else and not your own blessings. And this takes time, but it is important to note that you need to take the time.
I always get asked where my bae is? Well! I don’t know.
When Aladdin shows, I will know where bae is.
So when people ask who I’m glam for? My answer (in my head) is “my reflection.”
But in all seriousness, admitting that I am a happy single does not mean that I am opposed to having love in my life (meaning a significant other). It just means that I am satisfied with what I have right now, at this moment. If tomorrow Aladdin came flying in then I would be like “What’s good?”. I do my best to be happy with every day and therefore never defining love to be just reliant on one person. I encourage all the people who follow me here to just be okay with now because we are always trying to work on a future. Having goals is absolutely #hustlelife but knowing to be happy in this life is also part of the hustle. *Insert dab*
