ROLLING OUTTA BED FLAWLESS…
Already week 3 at uni and it is time to make sure we have a fool-proof wardrobe that gets us through those stressful assignment weeks when “we don’t have anything to wear”
Think of these pieces as investments to your lifestyle. And if you aren’t a uni student then these pieces will still work for you- because hola they are wardrobe essentials 🙌
I believe that there are a few types of university students. The I just rolled out of bed in my sweats late for class students, the too poor to buy anything students, outfit repeating students, don’t have time to wash my clothes students and then there are the troopers who wear whatever they want to wear, look fabulous and dress to impress themselves and others. Nevertheless being a uni student can sometimes mean you are all of those types, I know I am minus the sweats.
Being a uni student does have its perks such as UNiDAYS. Lets just take a moment to appreciate student discounts and how they really do save us some dollars- but in my case it just adds fuel to my shopaholic behaviour! I mean who doesn’t pounce at the opportunity to get 25% off at Missguided and Surfstitch or even 30% off at Boohoo?
Firstly let me clearly define my term of basic, I am not referring to basic boring clothing I am referring to the basic essentials everyone needs in their wardrobe to create multiple outfits to get them through the semester. These basics helps us all out from those late class attendees to outfit repeating to can’t be bothered washing my clothes to the peeps who dress to impress.
Now to all my ladies the recommended basics for your wardrobe survival this semester are;
- The perfect pant/jean that will go with everything and anything you choose, preferably in black or a versatile blue.
- For the warmer days get a basic jersey or comfortable playsuit, they are easy to wear and there are no dramas picking a top to match the bottoms because it is all done for you ( would personally recommend a playsuit if you are having one of those late for class just rolled out of bed moments)
- For the cooler days a basic oversized grey or neutral coloured knit to wear on its own or matched with bottoms whether they be jeans or a thick legging.
- Basic tanks and t-shirts are a must ! Black, white, grey and a pop of colour are easy basics to style with layers such as denim jackets, scarfs and capes
For all the gentlemen, oh you boys get it so easy.
- Bomber jacket
- Shorts/ jeans
- Cool shoes and hats
- Basic T shirts
